As I sit here in front of the 1950 Sunnycrest Dr. Labcorp entrance & reflect on my last three interactions I have jumped to a few wild conclusions:
1. Schedule ahead by Internet to avoid unnecessary delays could be a wickedly funny inside joke.
2. They open at 6:30 am with patients waiting. I know this because I had a 12 hr fasting blood draw order & Labcorps schedule openings began after 2:00pm. I decided to eat before 6:00 pm and show up at 6:30 am rather than eating just before 2:00 am to avoid starving.
3. 6:30 w/o appointment resulted in blood draw just before 9:00 am.
4. Quite a few Russian or Ukrainian phlebotomists & all are very polite & very competent.
I think packing 20+ people (following their doctors orders) into Suite 1800 all day long must be some meta-analytic study of the germ theory; or else, the undertakers own Labcorp to keep their cadavers warm until they were needed to make the quarterly profit fit projections.
