My lost kitty

So I was suckered into fostering a cat from Ravenousbeauty. Don't take her calls. She will get you to take some animal. No joke.
Anyway, I get this cat from her and I am gonna bring her to my office. She'll be my office cat. I bring her in, let her out and she doesn't run away. She's calm and just starts exploring. I call her and she comes for rubs. About an hour later I go looking for her and she's nowhere to be found. I'm freaking out. Calling out for her for hours. Thinking she got out somehow and she's outside now. Or she is stuck in something and can't get out. So many horrible thoughts are running through my mind. I had a dream she was hit by a car. I woke up crying. It's been a rough 2 days for me. I left food, water and a cat box for her. I thought for sure nothing would have been touched. I thought for sure I lost her. I'm thinking I'm the worst pet fosterer ever.

Nope. She is in here some place. Hiding. And she doesn't come out if she's called. I was so relieved when I saw she went potty and ate all her food. So even though I'm really sad she is hiding from me, I take it personal, i know weird, I'm happy she isn't stuck or worse. So I'm happier today.

Just wanted to share my dilemma. Thanks for reading. Have a great Sunday. Try and stay cool.

A cat will do that.
Especially a female cat.

On a positive note, you probably won’t have a rodent problem.

They like to get into small places to feel safe and sleep during the day. As they are Bi-trenail, for a lack of the right word. Hunt in the morning and a couple of hours before sunset.
Check the desk or behind a couch or inside it. Maybe a place up high, if there is one.

After six months the owner of the two I've been babysitting came and got them yesterday, now they are on their way to Florida. I'm going to miss them, but not the mess.

Cats can be a real problem if we don't spay/neuter them when they're old enough, 2 months and 2lbs & they're ready.

FixNation is a great place they vaccinate, rabies, spay, neuter for FREE !!
Most private vetenarians you'd be paying $300 or more from what I remember and all due respect for the Humane Society, however they're impossible to schedule and it's NOT Free !

I go to the one near Glendale off the 5.
I'm pretty sure there's other locations.

I've taken well over a hundred in so far, but it seems like I always see strays and kittens here and there...

They sure do like to hide !!

You might want to mention FixNation to RB

Good luck

Any cat I foster or adopt are usually fixed. If not they will be soon after I get them. I'm a huge believer in that practice. Same with RB. The amount of unwanted animals is unreal not to mention heartbreaking. I've helped with a couple catch and release places. It's very much needed.

I am a bleeding heart for fur babies. I would say I'm more a cat person because cats aren't needy. Most of them at least. If there is ever an animal in need 9 times outta 10 I'm gonna help regardless if it's a dog or cat. I just love animals.

She is such a sweet cat. She still goes and hides and I haven't been able to see where she is hiding at. She's very sneaky. Like most cats are.

Thank you all for all the reassurance and kind words. I appreciate it.
