at the end of the day is it worth it to the provider?
Does she value a "boat trip"?
Substitute boat for 'mechanic services'
or: Medical services
or Legal help
The list goes on, bartering should provide value to both sides, otherwise it's going to have little to no value.
So, the question becomes not if YOU see value in it, but if some (or anyone) would.
Now, I don't own a boat, but I know for a decent sized boat, they are VERY expensive - which leads to the saying: "the two most happiest days in a boat owner's life is the day they buy it, and the day they sell it"
Have owned several boats in my life I didn't even know this was an option, what's available for a trip to Santa Cruz Island? ⛵
A boat trip is not a service. It is a leisure activity. OP yes I too think UJ is creepy.

It depends on which side of Business or Pleasure one is on. Perhaps how one feels about the Client as well ?
It's suppose to be a Business , sometimes friendships evolve, but I've seen friendships go south too.
Enjoy live, but trend lightly.
Absolutely not
That's insulting honestly hahahahahahaaaaaaa the nerve of some people.
That's like a guy saying he will let you ride in his Ferrari for a trade... How in the world will that benefit anyone ? The only way that would even make sense is if he's letting you have the boat
for the providers who accept it that's fine for them if they're comfortable with it.
but imo he knows exactly what he's doing - don't let a dbag try to worm his way for services for a "boat ride". trust me - i'm a guy. i've seen them at their worst. you're right - a ride doesn't pay the bills.
but whatever floats someone's boat - the only thing i'm judging is the guys intent.
Have you met this guy? If so, did he mention the boat and did you show interest in hanging out there?
Is this just an unsolicited barter offer from some rando here? I don't think it is safe for a female to just jump on some dudes boat that they have never met.
finally something interesting..
btw i offer fishing trips
Don't have a boat or a Ferrari, but I do go out for 10 day fishing trips and would like a bunk mate. LOL
^^^
THAT WOULD BE A FISHY BOAT FOR SURE

NOT

I've brought girls on a yacht to Cabo for a 4 day trip in exchange for services.
Whats the big deal???
Bang a few out and get a nice day at sea.
If you rented a boat it would cost more than your hourly rate.
Plus, unless the guy is a douchbag, I am sure the excursion would come with food and drinks and....
If he is a bit older, he is prob not going to bang you all the way to Catalina and back.
Maybe pop a couple to times.
Looks like you already have the flotation devices!
It's just an offer.
Have questions or concerns? - ask the guy what's in the offer. And yes, since you'll be out & can't just leave: Screen, Screen, Screen. Bail at the dock if you're not comfortable with anything - alone, lone woman, too many guys, whatever.
Yes, a lot to consider. But if he has a safe history of doing this ... ?
Duh!
The girls get paid for the trips. They see clients on the trips.
"Oh Captain! My Captain! May I take this wench below decks and ravage her?"
Arrr, that you can matey
If it's a Gunboat 66 Catamaran I'd even offer a session for boat ride.
@marisa_g 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Id rather take the money and pay for my own trip lmfaooooo

It's all subjective --'One man's trash is another man's treasure.'
One woman might find a boat ride worth the trade, while another might see it as a rip-off. For some, It can depend on whether it's a short ride, an all-day event, or if there's additional value in the experience.
The rapport or relationship you have also plays a big role. If he's a regular or past client and you say no, it should just be a minor inconvenience. However, if this guy is just approaching women for the first time and offering trades right off the bat, that's kind of cringe and disrespectful.
I've mentioned my profession to some women once we've met in person, hoping to gain a new client or possibly make a trade later down the road. However, I am not pushy about it and mostly bring it up as small talk or show them around to break the ice on a first meeting.

"the two most happiest days in a boat owner's life is the day they buy it, and the day they sell it"
@remo_williams
This reminds me of my dad. He's had like 6 different boats since I've been alive. Every time he sells one, he's happy and swears he's never buying another. But a year or so later, he starts looking at new ones and eventually buys another. The cycle just repeats.
But how do you feel about motor boating?
plenty yacht stories, but idk if this really the same
@RemoWilliams
Legal services in exchange will likely not happen for any lawyer who values his license at all, see attached link re prohibition of sex with clients. If the girl gets mad at you she can destroy your livelihood!

TBH...it really depends on the provider.
U see...ppl are in this space for many different reasons. To get by financially, for schooling, for fun, etc. If the provider (male or female) wants to trade services n such, shiddd....let them.
I was with a provider a yr ago, and we agreed on a price...but as we talked more before we saw each other, i learned that she had never been skydiving. Me being in the Navy and having connections n such, she asked if i could take her sky diving instead of her being given roses. It didnt matter to me either way, but i obliged because it was gunna be a very memorable experience for her.
Now mind u...the sky diving was about 3 times more expensive, as she wanted a sunset type of dive, but the experience was indeed priceless!
Shiddd....i even did trades for:
Gun Range visits
Computer tech services (me building a new PC for a provider)
And i shit u not.....YUGIOH cards lolol.

Oh yea....to answer ur question OP, no....its NOT normal; however, the providers that I myself have encountered (dont kno about anyone else) that wanted trades are the ones who are already financially set.

B.O.A.T
Break Out Another Thousand.
I'm guessing these days it's Break Out Another Ten thousand.
Op,
I don't think it is normal for someone to offer a boat trip in exchange for services.
However not too long ago a lady on this board was searching for someone to take her and her elderly mother out on a boat so it might have been a good deal for her.
YUGIOH CARDS GOT ME 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
and yes I’m aware of the lady looking for a boat ride for her mom… that’s why I said no shade to the providers that do accept these kind of offers… It really was a noble cause.
But Yugioh? you got me f***d up lmao
I can bust out my childhood Pokemon cards if any ladies are interested 😂. For real though, I sold some of my old Pokemon cards on eBay a few years ago for a nice little payout.
Yea she met up with me once at my place...we did the deed and afterwards chit chatted. Got on the subject of anime and yugioh came up. Showed her some cards i have. Yea...i still play them. But there are some older cards i have (and had) that are hella expensive. Who knew that a picture printed on cardboard could be worth 2...3...even 4 hunnit plus bucks!!! Shidddd "I" didnt! But she did lol
That next session we had, she wanted cards lol. Me personally...i could NEVA!! lol But hey...to each their own

@ yellow.
Good point - although I do see ladies posting questions/ seeking legal advice occasionally - and offering services for same.
I've also seen request for dentists etc.
Just trying to point out that in this world of "off the books" transactions, bartering is pretty commonplace, and just because one gal think's it's ridiculous for her, not all gals might find the idea so out there.

@JM "Id rather take the money and pay for my own trip lmfaooooo"
Would you?
I do not know your financial situation and I am not saying that you couldn't...
But when was the last time you went anywhere on a yacht?
I know that 99% of the ladies here just want to get paid - and cant wait for the guy to leave...
and most likely are staring at the stains on the ceiling thinking about getting their nails done...
while telling him how good he is making her feel!
Nut... Congratulations on meeting me aka the 1%. I am here because I have an addiction that I am able to fulfill.
I have been on a yacht 5 times and not one of those times were substantial enough to make me want to trade for it. Yes they were good experiences but like I said its equivalent to someone asking if I want to ride in their Bentley for a trade. Being on a yatch doesn't do anything for me but give me bragging rights.. I'd do it for a fun date but not a trade unless its something that I am inquiring about like for an event or something.
I have traveled with a few men on here who asked me to go with them to other states and out of the country. I ABSOLUTELY enjoyed my time AND they all compensated me for that time, as well as paid for the trip and anything that occurred during our time such as dinner or events... I also LOVE the men that I see!! When you deal with wonderful people you dont have to stare at the ceiling thinking about getting your nails done... Plus I prefer to be on top doing all of the work. When you create financial stability you dont have to force yourself to see people that you dont enjoy. . I always tell people that the difference between me and other ladies is that I dont EVER have to pretend to like you. I am authentic in every aspect.
I may not find a boat ride sufficient but I have done trades for things that I wanted.. The difference than the situation above is that I ASKED because i needed something... To me a trade is something that satisfies both parties. Like I need my car detailed and would definitely trade for that since it will assist me in not having to pay $650 for someone to do it. QUID PRO QUO if you will.
(NOTE LADIES, If you can make $400 a day thats 12,000 a month... save, invest, rinse, repeat) * Stop living above your means. Wealth is keeping your income higher than your expenses. Also guys! if you book your trips ahead of time and use package deals on sites like expedia and travelocity you can get your flight, hotel stay for a week, and rental car for less than $1000.. When I went to jamaica I stayed at the montego bay riu (all inclusive) for 6 days for $800 (flight and hotel included).

long story short (reiterating)
To me a trade is something that satisfies both parties. Like I need my car detailed and would definitely trade for that since it will assist me in not having to pay $650 for someone to do it. QUID PRO QUO if you will.
clearly OP did not inquire about a boat ride which makes the offer kind of "fishy"... pun intended

That's too bad. I was going to offer a boat ride to June. LOL. I'm kidding I'm kidding.

Nice boat. What’s your foiling cruising speed?
