There are more than enough sane Republicans, Democrats and independents to keep the criminal out of office. But beyond them, what about the other traitors? It is not targeting your political opponents when they clearly violated their oaths to uphold the Constitution.
Jim Jordon, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Mo Brooks, Paul Gosar, Mike Johnson, etc. should also be prosecuted. They tried to overthrow the election with Trump. Fuck them all.

secondly - in all honesty and to the benefit of everyone wanting a fair election we need changes:
a unified electoral / election process in all 50 states
walk in voters must have a valid credential of sorts
mail in ballots needs an overhaul
these are safeguards to make sure the election is not tampered with and a benefit for all.

It was consider to be the most secure in history.
Trump was told my multiple people, including the main election official and all White House lawyers, that he had lost.
Trump admitted that he had lost before January 6.
It was the nut jobs: Giuliani, Powell, and Chesebro that supported Trump’s attempt to steal the election.
Just stick to the facts and understand how absurd that Trump is being allowed to even run. He should be in prison right now.

14th Amendment Section 3 was specifically intended to prevent former Confederate officers from gaining power in the Federal government. That was over 250 years ago.
Note that they could've specifically spelled out the office of the Presidency, but did not. They named Senators, Representatives and Electors....but not the President. Why the fuck not? I do not know, but they didn't.
The CO ruling is stayed pending SCOTUS review. They will correctly overturn it and we'll all hear the press wailing how SCOTUS is biased and tainted lol

I couldn’t care less if Biden is the Democrat nominee. I’ve already argued that he’s too old. But if they end up being pitted against each other, Biden does win because of Trump’s clear threat to Democracy.
I said that essentially a ham sandwich could beat Trump at this point. A new poll (if you believe it) shows 20% of Republicans support the Colorado Supreme Court ruling that Trump is disqualified from being on the ballot. Add to that Democrats and Independents who loathe Trump, I don’t see him winning in 2024.
And the closer we get to the election, the crazier Trump is going to get. It’s not going to be pretty.

The argument about Trump being in violation of 3 - 14 is based on an interpretation of a purposely vague clause that was supposed to be defined by Congress. It never was. So, let's look at a film called "A Man for All Seasons" about Sir Thomas More in his trial for treason. This is my favorite quote from that movie:

The CO Supremes absolutely knew this decision would end up at SCOTUS. Jack Smith is going for expedited SCOTUS review on presidential immunity. Is the whole point to get a two-fer? SCOTUS overturns CO and the left cries foul, then tries to pack the court again?
At all turns, the Dem machinery is operating in high gear to use the judicial system as its stalking horse. If Biden is a shoe-in, as MA is so sure of, why not just lay out your case for the current administration and start celebrating now?
Question is........if Trump wins, will the Dems accept the "democratic" outcome. Same can be said of the Reps if Biden wins. Seems like more chaos either way.

I think SCOTUS will overturn the CO case. But Jack Smith has a solid training, and precedent, to ask the supreme court to bypass the appeals court on hearing the immunity case. During Watergate the prosecutors asked for the same thing re: the tapes and their having to be turned over. SCOTUS took up the case and Nixon lost. He subsequently resigned. In this case trump is running for POTUS and if he wins he could then order the justice department to toss all federal prosecutions of him so it's imperative that his trials go forward before the elections.

I've had several attorneys represent me but I'm definitely not an attorney. I think that Chutkan's decision was well thought out and reasonable. All previous attempts by trump have also been shut down. I'm pretty confident that the same thing will happen here. The alternative is king like powers transferring to POTUS which I don't see any court agreeing to.

He tried a plan and then SCOTUS deemed that illegal so he stopped with that and it's working on alternative measures. As far as the border goes that's a policy decision, so far as I've read he's offered to dramatically up the amount of personnel of border patrol agents. Which to me is basically the only realistic chance of stopping people from crossing. You physically have to have people there to catch them. So no, Biden is not trying to emulate trump. Trump is in a situation class of stupid lol

it literally took a lower court ruling dissolving the plan to be kicked up to SCOTUS for review. They accepted the case and then rolled several months later. He didn't ignore SCOTUS he accepted their ruling and is using other means to accomplish his plan

I'm not incorrect. Biden passed a n executive order, a lower court found it unconstitutional then it was kicked up to SCOTUS who affirmed the lower court's ruling. Biden said ok and is working on other ways, he just discharged 8 billion recently. He couldn't have ignored SCOTUS till they weighed in.
