Wed Jan 24 - Sat Jan 27. Las Vegas. ~$300 entrance fee/ticket for whole show or you can purchase passes for individual days.
I went one year and they wouldn't let fans enter who had DSLRs! They considered DSLRs to be for professional photographers only and not the general public - you had to work for a publication to be allowed to bring in a DSLR! Cell phones and point-n-shoot cameras were OK for fans though. They also searched bags, backpacks, and I remembered they used metal detectors too. Probably a good thing considering the Route 91 concert shooting.
A lot of us with DSLRs then exited the line, went to the bathroom, removed the lens from the camera body and stashed both at the bottom of our bags, wrapped in T-shirts and placed under layers of stuff and went back in the lines, where the security guards didn't root deep enough into the bags to find the camera.
After that year, I stopped going. Wasn't worth the hassle. I have some photos that I took of one AVN I attended in my album.

They used to be at the same time or one right after the other. But some time ago (more than a decade ago), they split up and are typically separated by a week or two.
Have fun at the Raiders game and CES if you are going to that. I went to CES one year. If you have a Canon DSLR, bring it and drop it off at the Canon booth - they will check it out, clean it, update the firmware, make sure everything works, give you a new neck strap (and probably any other missing pieces like lens or body caps), and generally give your camera some loving care. Sometimes at the end of the convention, these booths/vendors don't want to transport a lot of the items they brought to the show back home and will give them away or sell them at a steep discount.
This also goes for the AVN convention; at the end of the show on Saturday, the booths will be giving away stuff (DVDs, dildos, T-shirts, etc.) that they don't want to lug back. Some pornstars who are selling their items will offer better deals on their DVDs/autographed magazines/etc. that day compared to the first days of the show.

If you meant: do the pornstars offer PSE to fans, then typically no. As a fan, you will have to be extremely lucky, in the right place at the right time, to get that at the show. Most pornstars will want the fan to have proof of current tests, but the typical fan will not usually be prepared with that, so 99% of the time, fans will not get PSE. I know of some friends who have met pornstars, got invited to after-parties, had a pornstar take a liking to them, and then get lucky. But that is very rare. I was following one pornstar that offered free fan fucks on her website, met her at the AVN to ask about that. Turned out fan fucks were only for German guys! But I surprised her by speaking German to her, courtesy of my training as a case officer and operative with SD6. Of course, I don't look remotely like a typical Aryan German so I failed. She is also on HX, LOL.

Sorry to hijack your blog. What questions do you have about the show that might help you make your decision?
What is your interest level in porn? Do you have any porn stars that you are following (on social media or videos) that you need to see, talk with in person and get a selfie with?
Are the time and monetary commitment within budget for you or makes sense for you? Hotel rooms won't be cheap then. All the casinos on the Strip now charge for parking, no more cheap eats, crowded as heck on the strip (and at the show), driving the Strip is a pain and takes forever to get anywhere, etc.
What do you hope to experience at a porn convention? Have you gone to any porn conventions anywhere? The porn conventions here in the States are very tame compared to the ones in Europe - there, nudity is allowed, and in fact, some booths have live sex shows with audience participation! The Berlin, Prague, or Barcelona shows might be worth attending instead if you want a more explicit experience compared to the AVN show where nudity is frowned upon and no live sex is allowed.
