" ....and you know it!"
|
|
Hmm. The poster boy of citing unaccredited amateurs to affirm his predetermined mind set attacks someone for citing professional organizations. The odds of your making a valid argument about anything Goebbels are roughly equivalent to overlap in a Venn diagram of Mother Theresa and Elon Musk. You are so supernaturally ignorant that you were not even aware that states administer national elections and not the federal government which is one of the hallmarks of our republic.
You speak of something about calling grass pink or some such flaccid metaphor yet fail to perceive that the American economy today objectively, irrefutably, factually is a marvel to behold. The reality is self evident.
Inflation declining faster than anywhere in the world.
Stock market near record levels.
14 million jobs created in 3 years.
Unemployment below 4% for 2 years.
GDP growth at 5.2 % in third quarter.
These results are stunning by any standard. But you do not want stunning so you change the truth with easily obtainable fellow travelers who share your uninspired and uninspiring nihilism.
You are unhappy with your life Goebbels. I guess I would feel sorry about that if you were not the worst piece of shit on earth. But I only feel sorry for those who have tried to be good, have tried to empathize, have tried to achieve a modicum of decency even in the face of indecent fate.
But you were too weak to have tried anything but sterile, anarchic diffidence. You are an acrid sore which thoughtful minds shun, abhor, and feel shame for.
Happy new year.

Yappy guard dog to MA's rescue, good doggy.
#tldr when the serial TOS'er posts, no doubt a couple of TOS in there

This isn't news to the Liberals !
Joe won't be the nominee, Gavin will be !
Joe can't even remember his favorite ice cream, let alone remember what the question is for a Presidential debate --- complete embarrassment to the World !
|
|
God help this country is Gavin Newsome becomes President.
We have a $68 billion deficit in CA, with the 5th largest economy in the world,. Given the United States, he would run up a 100 trillion debt in 4 years....LOL.
|
|
But your ass would be deported, jazz.
Worth every penny.
|
|
sherkahn = communist
|

Goebbels,
I don't think you believe what you write most of the time. You're a disingenuous piece of garbage "and you know it."
Speaking of a yapping, annoying dog, how's it going Rico?

Longwalker, the President of France would like for you to visit him this spring to see how “deep” your courage is while he shows you French “hospitality” as you assume the position.
|
|
Newscum - that makes sense, considering how he has moved his political stance towards center.
maybe it could be good for california? nah probably not.
|
|
here is the problem we are currently facing.
1950 median house price: $7354
1950 median annual income: $2990
1970 median house price: $17000
household income: $9870
1990 median house price: $79900
household income: $35350
2010 median house price: $173000
household income: $60240
2023 median house price: $417000
household income: $106270
historically a family could buy a house for 2 times their annual income.
in 2010 the chain fell off, it went to 3 times and in 2023 to 4 times.
the cost of healthcare and cost of education shows the same pattern.
its not a pretty picture and the future looks even worse.
future generations will be indebted from day 1 until they die, just to pay for housing, education and healthcare.
|
|
jazz51 the deficit is much greater due to the unfunded pension deficit. Factor that in and it is much higher of about 1 trillion dollars.
|
|
@ lapierre
So, do I understand you are comparing the median home built in the 50's to one that's built in 2023?
You are telling us it's an apples to apples comparison???
|
|
^^
no i am not comparing build/cost of houses then vs now.
The important point is the spread between the household income and average cost of a house.
over the last 20 years it has exploded
|
|
@ lapierre
Private equity and individual investors have acquired tens of thousands of single family homes as investment properties for long term and short term rentals.
This depletes the supply of homes for sale, which increases prices.
Higher interest rates should have reduced home prices, but since supply is so low, the normal cyclical pattern did not occur and prices have remained high.
As interest rates are cut, with at least 3 or 4 cuts are predicted this year, prices should continue to rise as cheaper loans make buying/owning property more affordable for those who have the funds to purchase real estate, which will further deplete available inventory.
One of the only ways this trend can be reversed is if the government passes a law outlawing corporations from owning single family homes, which would increase available inventory, which will decrease prices.
However, decreasing home prices will hurt current owners, many of whom rely on the wealth created by the appreciation of the value of their homes.
|
|
@remo
The median price is the median price. When the houses were built is not a factor, it's just all houses sold. Your question just muddles through information. Oh, and the price of that 50's house, has gone up considerably.
As for the cheering about the stock market - my 401k is about where it was a few years ago --- that's nothing to cheer. That means that investment has gained nothing which shows shittyness in the economy.
Just go buy something, anything, and see what this economy has done over the last few years.
|
|
MA - correct, i heard something like 60% of SFR purchases in some markets are by corporations, i believe it was in NC.
it is a concern.
maybe start out by not letting foreign corporation purchase US real estate
|
|
I don't read salon or the guardian, rarely NBC. I mostly read Twitter and links off of Twitter. Not sure what the original argument was about but by all reasonable measures of the US economy we're doing great as opposed to any other first world economies. Give credit to the fed, the ghost of Michael Jackson, whomever but really use Biden placed everyone in places to succeed and we've avoided a recession and miraculously stuck a soft landing. He's got my vote lol
|
|
Youwan.t to pay even more for your shit?
Keep voting like you do.
|
|
Biden and the left just lie about the economy and everything else.
Inflation...the numbers are BS
Jobs..the numbers are gamed
Income...see inflation
|
|
Lol but they were all real under trump😂😂😂😂🖕🖕🖕🖕
|
|
Things are just tits.
New vehicles are only up 20%
Gas is at an all time low. ha
Food is up 20% over pre-biden.
8 or 10 million illegal aliens to feed, house, and medical.
Pumping money into other countries like we are drunken sailors.
It just can't get any better than this

"The Washington Post, reliable Democratic Party mouth-piece, just published a 4,000 word Report on Biden family corruption going back almost 50 years!! And, yet MA hasn't heard of it" (Part III by GBD)
Despite his false claim, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the above article that says about corruption of Joe Biden. His brother was implicated in the crime, but , at the end;
"Neither James Biden nor his brother was charged or accused of wrongdoing in the case, which led to prison for Scruggs and several of his associates, including James Biden's would-be partners."
What GBD read was not the original (he didn't even cite the link, because he never read it), it was this trash article titled "As Dems Panic over 2024, Washington Post Dredges Up Biden Brothers' Ties to Corrupt Mississippi Lawyer and Associates" published in National Review, and the article starts with "Sunday's eye-popping 4,000-word Washington Post report on Biden corruption ties" which he cited in Part III
It is best to remind us that no matter what MAGA or non-MAGA Rs ,as in GDB, complain about the current politics and Democrats, it has nothing to do with their policies. Only thing it matters to Rs is to maintain their political power even though they are now a minority (White Christian Nationalists and their collaborators).
Rs have nothing except for cynicism, and they are dying from it. What's the use of their political comments if the only thing they believe in is cynicism that all the politicians are corrupted in the first place?

Meanwhile the orange clown is spewing lie after lie.
The latest:
DES MOINES, Iowa — “Donald Trump, the chief propagator of false “birther” claims first against then-President Barack Obama and later against Sen. Ted Cruz, has a new target: Nikki Haley.
As Haley surges in New Hampshire polling, Trump posted an article on his Truth Social account from a right-wing outlet that claimed Haley, his GOP rival, is ineligible to be president because her parents were not U.S. citizens when she was born.
Haley was born in South Carolina and has lived in the U.S. her entire life. Her parents were immigrants, who became citizens after her birth in 1972.“
Get you head out of your ass’s FN repubnazis. Dump the tramp, Haley will win the general.
|
|
Trump will not sustain his lead in the polls !
Trump will do something to screw himself and Nikki Haley or Ron Desantis will prevail.
2024 will be unlike any other year. China will take over Taiwan by force, Russia will start going after Finland and Sweden, just mass hysteria is about to break out on Biden's watch.
|
|
ZZZZZZZZZZZ
|
|
Bideneconimics:
we give people jobs and pay raises and then we tax the hell out of them.
|
|
I checked my portfolio performance recently. Almost 25% return in 2023.
I remember this being very good judging the economy. Thanks Joe!
|
|
“Trump will do something to screw himself and Nikki Haley or Ron Desantis will prevail.“
Trump survived grabby girls by the pussy comment and leading attempted government takeover. There is nothing this man can do to shake off his cult.
The other candidates only hope is he chokes on a Big Mac.
He is your GOP nominee.
|
|
One poll has Hayley within 7 points of Trump in New Hampshire.
If Trump doesn't win the New Hampshire primary by a wide margin, you/ll see his support dwindle. Republicans have put their faith in this loser too many times to lose again.
|
|
When will the cult that used to be the grand old party understand that tramp is a clear and present danger?
Tramp on NATO:
"You need to understand that if Europe is under attack, we will never come to help you and to support you," Thierry Breton quoted Trump as saying during a meeting he also attended at the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2020.
"By the way, NATO is dead, and we will leave, we will quit NATO," Trump also said, according to the European Union official. "And by the way, you owe me $400 billion, because you didn’t pay, you Germans, what you had to pay for defense."
|
|
Nikki Haley is the only hope the gop has to ending the cult formerly known as the grand old party.
|
|
Nikkii Haley does look a normal candidate considering other MAGA candidates including Trump/DeSantis/Ramaswamy, we have to be aware of the fact that Christie said yesterday that the moment Trump is elected as President again, Haley will totally cave into Trump. And Haley said clearly that she will pardon Trump if she is elected. I really cannot trust her at all.

Very interesting article in NY Times; "Two Capitol Riots. Two very different results"
Both US and Brasil experienced Right-wing extremists storming into the Capitols, but the two riots had significant differences between them.
@Brasil had a long period of a dictatorship, and the people have a strong will not to be dragged there again, whereas US never had it before. Though we had the similar extremist movement during WWII (for that account, read Rachel Maddow's "Prequel" or her great podcast "Ultra").
@Brasil has a political fragmentation (there are 20 parties there)
@In Brasil there is a consensus for both the Right and Left wing to blame the attacks, whereas we are still totally divided over Trump's lies on election fraud.
@In Brasil, due to the fear of extremist movement, the Supreme court expanded the power to prosecute rioters, and one of the chief Justice ordered Tech companies to remove disinformation
There is a question as to whether it is a good idea to expand such powers in the Supreme Court, but Levinsky, a Harvard professor said this; " Brasil's approach resembles the "military democracy" doctrine developed in Germany after World War II to combat fascism, in which government can ban politicians deemed a threat"
Currently in the US, it is UP TO US, THE VOTERS" to reject MAGA fascism.

The problem I have with this is.....how high can GBD fucking count.
I mean, this fucker is on part 4 with this.
|
|
The dicktator biden is in full swing and long live the bumbling prick.
From the looks of things he won't be around much longer.
He may die as president from natural causes.
Although it is possible he is healthier than he seems?
Welcome president harris.
|
|
It is also important that we always have to remind ourselves that US politics is always geopolitical, not just domestic.
Russia wants Trump to win so that the latter most certainly will stop interfering Russia's war on Ukraine.
I believe the people around the globe lost their faith in Democracy after US Iraq war and 2008 market crash.
Russia/Iran/China/N Korea want to dominate the world with their autocracy against Democracy. MAGA movement is one of them to smear our Democracy, and try to rule by Trump dictatorship.

If Gavin Newsom becomes president, I’ll take out a cigar, a beer, and a beach chair and laugh as the country burns down. Because you will have all deserved it.
|
|
When Gavin becomes president.. Fixed.
|
|
Gavin is will just be your normal white guy president with social policies that will drive conservatives nuts.
He vetos many bills that go unnoticed like the one where striking employees can get unemployment. Was huge uproar in progressive community.
Calm down
|
|
Gavin is a liberal socialist. Deficits are expected with him, except when CA is flush with covid money, which was just piled onto the national debt.
|
|
If Gavin Newsom becomes president, I’ll take out a cigar, a beer, and a beach chair and laugh as the country burns down. Because you will have all deserved it.
@sleepyone
At least he’s not a fascist who would literally allow this country to burn down to save his own ass.

Facism definition:
1. or Fascism : a way of organizing a society in which a government ruled by a dictator controls the lives of the people and in which people are not allowed to disagree with the government.
this is by no means only a right wing definition.
stalins and many other communist regimes can be consider facism.
certainly Newsum can be considered a fascist leader, he rules from the top and does often not let the democracy rule on a major issue (such as the california death sentence)
|
|
Once Nuisance is at the helm there will be nothing left to burn. 🔥
You could put Hunter in charge
When Hunter Biden moved out early from a lavish Venice Beach, California, property he was leasing for more than $17,000 a month in 2021, he directed the landlord to "just call my friend Kevin Morris," according to a text message obtained by CBS News.
President Biden's son left tens of thousands of dollars in damage to the property, months of unpaid rent — and Morris to clean up the mess, according to a source familiar with the matter.
In the text message, Hunter Biden assured the landlord, Morris "will work something out with you," adding that Morris "has been very helpful to me and has assured me he can help to resolve this ASAP."

Comparing Newsome to Trump is a totally ridiculous argument, and it has no value in it. Don't waste your time. People who do that apparently lack sincerity.
He certainly shows his ambition to become a next President, but I personally prefer Buttigieg. Because he is very smart, logical.
|
|
I want to be President, But-I-Gag.
No, not even a remote possibility.
|
|
Wow, #4 really covered some ground and was rarely on topic
I'd like to welcome Rawdawger back from his extensive remedial English program
You should demand your money back NOW lol
As for the rest of you, after a spirited debate, I can see that a lot of you changed your minds.........
About nothing.
There seems to be a simple and elegant solution to this conundrum.
If you like socialism (or any of its related isms)
There are many lovely countries that would love to have you
If you like capitalism, which for all its faults has created the richest and almost freest country in the world (we move up a rung since Hong Kong was taken over by the Socialists lol).....
Then hang out here and help process all the socialists as they board their boats headed for those enlightened slices of heaven like Cuba or Venezuela and North Korea.
Bon yoyage!
One of you please take Butz with you, we will pay you swear to Allah.

4 INCHES PYLE...4 INCHES!

@mildlyamusing1 You commies always call anyone fascist. The word has no meaning and no one cares.
