Yes Seymour I understand, in all the 6 years that I have been taking care of him he hasn't done this though.
Squawking is one thing, yeah I'm totally used to that & his talking, laughing, squeeking sounds at a lower volume, it would be eery not to hear it !!
This very loud, persistent squawking is a bit out of the ordinary for him & the roommate has known him for 25 + years and it's strange behavior.

Find a parrot exorcist.
I've heard of pet mediums who can connect and help you understand what message the parrot is conveying. He could be angry about something. It could be he is trying to warn you. Any new people in your life? Any new changes? Parrots/ Birds are highly intelligent.

He's been better since Vicki walking around naked (aren't we all )I'm sure he is wondering where April's amazing ass is though.

SkurferGurl when the squawking gets to be too much, a dark room will often calm them down. Used to have parrots and when it got too be to much of a ruckus (often early eveining), I'd let them exercise their vocal chords until I decided it was time for them to go "nigh-night". Lights off, shades drawn, door closed. And they'd calm down.

I think it's cause he's noticing me pay attention to my dog's and cats all the time and he just wants attention too cause he's getting old and cranky, he doesn't do it in the evening, more midday.
When it's time to go to bed I have a night night cage for him, his daytime cage is like a small trailer.
This weekend I'm gonna clean out his old toys and put new ones, that's one thing I haven't done in awhile.
