Pappy +Harriet's is located in Pioneer town near Yucca Valley. It is a fun place to go eat and they often have live music.

Been there once, that was more than enough.
Ordered the Dirt Burger with extra dust and a side of rocks.

you need a dirt bike to have fun in the desert.

Great food at Country Kitchen and right across the street Crossroad Cafe. Go into the park and enjoy the scenery, get out and walk around, great [place to clear your head if you can get away from the crowds. early morning and sunsets are amazing. Bundle up it gets cold

So, this trip was a trip!!!
Everything was so beautiful, the home we stayed at was immaculate, it was near a fun area with a lot to explore.
We got there as soon as it started raining. We braved the mighty storm and went out in search of thrift stores, records and trinkets! I found one delicious candle and a lot of UFO/Extraterrestrial literature.
We missed the black flag show, but were not super stoked to go to any of the other musical offerings at Pappy's. We did eat there, it was on a weekend and it felt so crowded and everyone was just so unhappy. We felt in the way, we just hit the road....
Walked around a lot! I mean so much!
Met the world's cutest pig and his mini horse pal.
Heard many owls, did not see any.
Lots of cool/scary looking hawks
It was beyond dark and hella cold.
Learned there is no public transportation , not even lyft or uber.
Got a ride from a nice mountain type person.
Lots of laughs, silly pictures and scary night hikes....
When we left , it started raining!!! AGAIN!!!
Made it home, barrrlley..
LOL! it was a lot of fun and I can't wait to go back.

With all the rain, this year, the bloom should be very good.

Dont know if I'd hike at night in Joshua tree. The humans there may be scarier than the wildlife.
