My aim for this blog is two-fold.
Expose MAGAism and its cult, defeat Trump in 2024 election. If we fail it, that leads us to demolition of Democracy and surge of Dictatorship.
Expose corrupt intent by Rs' Rich donors (Billionaires/Evangelicals) on our Supreme Court and judiciary systems, and also on our education etc. This is another trend that is getting worse since 2016, we are in the crisis of the worst form of Plutocracy. In this attempt, just a few influential people are trying to manipulate our politics.
Both trends by far-right extremists are merging to form new White Supremacy and White Christian Nationalism in the US.
In order to avoid misunderstanding, I have to mention that I don't have any problems with White people in this country, but I do have issues with White Supremacy and White Christian Nationalism. That is a dangerous myth that a particular race is superior to the rests of us. The media calls it as White Grievance, but White Supremacy is the proper description of it.
As a consequence, our resistance to the above far right extremism will take the form of civil rights movements that resemble to the ones during 1950's. Unless we had strong support and funding by liberal Whites in the 1950's, we didn't have any achievement at all. Good thing is that BLM movement that occurred after George Floyd murder, people of all races participated in it.
We don't demand anything except for defeat of White Supremacy, and our mutual acceptance to multi-cultural, or multi-racial Democracy that has been nurtured until Trump took over the presidential power to reverse our progress to backward alleys. This violent movement is dangerous, because of his will to seize this country by appealing to White Supremacists and by playing the race card as fuel, and with his tight connections to billionaires and Evangelicals.
I said "we", but I don't belong to any particular civil rights movements, and but as a citizen, I had an urgency to say the above for the last couple of years.
Once the political cogwheels of fascism start grinding, it will be harder for us to get out of it. Just look at GBD here. He says he hates Trump, but what he says in other blogs are the total opposite. His intent is very clear, he protects his party no matter how bad it gets, though I am not sure whether he is paid by RNC, or he is voluntarily doing it. At least he seems to know he is acting like a "joker".
And those Rs who didn't believe or denied in what I mentioned in the past blogs, they are basically all election deniers, the same as those R politicians who downplayed Jan 6 violence as "a normal tourist visit" or calling those who were prosecuted as "hostages." Shame on them all.
That is one of the reasons why I don't personally believe in participating any particular group. Thanks for your listening
By the way it looks like Trump having cognitive difficulties, and he has been obsessed with Obama since 2016, One of the reasons why he decided to run for presidential election in 2016 was due to his obsession with Obama. I believe he has clearly an inferiority complex. Funny thing is that he still thinks he is running against Obama.
I can easily guess from those hateful comments on my blog, including a bunch of threat alerts from Euroloy, that we still have many Trump supporters here in this community as well as in the congress and among wealthy business leaders.
At least one third of the incumbent R House members are Trump supporters. Stefanik, MTG, Mo Brooks, Andy Briggs, Paul Gosar, Mike Garcia, Kevin McCarthy, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gates, Mike Johnson, Steve Scarlise, Jim Jordan, Scott Perry, Louie Gohmert. At Senate, Rick Soctt, Josh Hawley, Tommy Tuberville, Ted Cruz, Cynthia Lummis etc. 147 Rs are election deniers in 2021.
Tim Scott now flipped over to become a new Trump supporter. Stefanik calling Jan 6 rioters as "hostages" and E Jean Caroll "a liar", or, JP Morgan Chase CEO praising Trump and his policies (mostly because his huge tax cuts for the wealthy, and he apparently does not care the rest), or Ginni Thomas, a wife of Clarence Thomas is a big supporter of Trump are the fine examples.
Our best hope is that Trump loses his primary race to Haley, then, his militant slaves start attacking each state primary election results as fake, and overall Rs legitimacy goes to smithereens.
Can you imagine having Trump as president again, and Stefanik, MTG or Kari Lkae as VP, that will officially end this nation.
In 2016 nobody thought Trump will become our president, so having enough caution about the danger is our best bet.

Curious if you think the amount of people coming across our southern border is of any consequence. I would think that is a huge issue, especially for the states with borders with Mexico.
The amount of drugs and terroists (don't even tell me we don't know terrorists are not coming through) is out of control. And it is happening with the full support of the Biden administration. Yes, I agree with that. I am not forcing anybody to read my comments. And if only right- wingers are allowed to leave any political comments in this community, that means that my freedom to express my opinion is suppressed. I thought Rs are against that. Or is it a threat (apparently)? I always felt that pressure in this community (this is not just my opinion, and lots of people in this community agree with me).

I agree with the OP that immigration is a problem that neither side is willing to do what it takes to solve.
We had a good bill in 2007. It would have ended sanctuary cities and states. People would need e-verify to work. A wall would be built. Illegal immigrants would have had to go back to their country of origin and get in the back of the line to immigrate here.
Republicans hated it because it gave illegal immigrants a pathway to citizenship, albeit a difficult one. As John McCain said it's just inhumane to permanently break families apart.
Now things are much worse and we can't agree on much of anything.
The Republicans get a lot of support for immigration being the disaster for what it is. It actually helps them politically. Perhaps the Dems are following their progressive ideology that borders aren't that relevant. That's what they get out of it. And political support.
That '97 bill wasn't as good as it sounds: e-verify didn't exist. The details of how it would weren't spelled out completely. The border wall wasn't funded. Just promises if principle, and we know how principled politicians are.
