Back in the old days of Rocky, with Muhammad Ali still hanging around, there was no one, absolutely no one who could have played Apollo Creed better than Carl Weathers.
His role was worthy of consideration for a supporting actor Oscar. Seemed like a stand up dude as well. He will be missed.
