Actually his policies ARE responsible.
He basically shut down oil exploration and substantial drilling and sent a clear message to the oil companies....you are done, we are moving away from you. We had declining crude oil imports under Trump and immediately our imports have risen under Biden. Yep, supply and demand.
Everything we buy is transported....so when the cost of travel (fuel) does up, every single item goes up in price.
Biden spent far more government money on the pandemic than he needed.....he just kept extending benefits to people that encouraged them NOT to work....that is a double whammy, they get 'free money' from the government and are not working and paying taxes.
All that leads to more borrowing by the US and that has driven up all interest rates and inflation.
Gridlocks at the docks.....due to forced manufacturing shut downs, goods were significantly delayed during the pandemic, then they started back up, producing a greater 'flow' than previously, creating some of the shipping delay. Our supply chain, from trucking to longshore workers to postal workers is controlled by very strong unions. Adding people just did not happen in the ports.
