I’ve criticized Biden before for being too old to run. Practically any other Democrat except for Harris should run instead of him.
But the mistake he made wasn’t actually that bad to me. He clearly meant the president of Egypt by naming him and Egypt is below Gaza as Mexico is below the United States. Regardless, any mistake will immediately lead to criticism of his age. And the special counsel’s report was a political hit job. He should have just said that he wasn’t guilty of any crimes as was done with Pence.
Biden still beats Trump if pitted against each other. Like most rational people, I’d vote for a door knob over Trump.

Trump makes a blunder once a month or every couple of weeks, Joe makes multiples daily.

My opinion,
The Dems are keeping Joe on-line and in focus until the Dem Nat Conv. (DNC) at which time he will refuse the nomination. By doing so, if forces DJT to focus on hammering Joe up until the DNC while using a significant amount of resources (e.g., money) to do so. All of that will be for naught when the Dem's substitute someone else at the last minute at the DNC, someone that DJT has never even mentioned. This will decrease the amount of time that DJT (who is running out of money and resources) has to investigate and attack the new Dem nominee; all the while DJT is continuing to get negative press for the many legal actions he has going on.
Brilliant move on behalf of the Dem's to let DJT continue to erode his base with his own stupidity and a last minute substitution to change the entire scenario.
DJT is his own worst enemy when he tries to justify his actions by going very vocal on them. It only keeps the negative publicity in the current news. Americans have very short memories, he would be better off keeping his mouth shut, let the issues become old news, and let people get comfortable with moving on from them.
The independent fence sitters are going to decide the next election. Every day that goes by means more of them are abandoning DJT's autocratic platform.
And consider this, big political donors (all parties) don't just financially support someone that has the same social ideas and goals that they do, they donate to candidates they can control!
DJT might come across as some intelligent person with great social ideas and the fortitude to ram them through the validation process, where in all actuality, he is a weakling being managed by the people that have a lot more money than he does!
As soon as the Repub's figure out the Dem's endgame with nominating someone totally different at the DNC, DJT's support within the Repub party will disappear within a week.
