Well I do have my own share of collecting sports cards which includes MLB, NBA and NFL since 1982. But I also collect comics, and other items too.. I am such a nerd... it's coming out.

I was super into it at one point many years ago and still have lots.. I use to check the Beckett guide ( does that even still exist?) Constantly to track value.
Next thing I know, supposedly the bottom fell out, and my collection lost value.
Then, somewhere I heard they spiked again during covid .
In a bit of irony, when I was into it, I wasnt as big of a baseball fan as I would grow to be.
Mainly collected back then ( teenage/ early 20s) to flip and cash out

A friend introduced me to baseball cards in middle school and I started collecting. Sadly it was during the mass produced era of the 80s.

I have a few.
My prize card is a 1933 Goudey Lou Gherig (PSA 7)
Then a 1935 Goudey 4 in 1 with Babe Ruth
Followed by a 1968 Mickey Mantle
And a 1968 Nolan Ryan/Jerry Koosman Rookie Card.
I have limited myself to one shoe box of cards. All $20+, mostly great players from my childhood. $20.00 minimum except for the classic Oscar Gamble big afro card...that was my absolute favorite card as a kid!
