I get a good laugh at anyone who lambastes a particular news organization just because they don't espouse a political view that coincides with theirs. I believe the secret to finding truth is asking probative questions that drill down to the root cause of why a particular news organization thinks that their content is "news" to begin with. I ask myself a simple question, "Are they actually reporting something that is news worthy, or are they trying to convince me of something?"
It is telling that Fox News does not feel compelled to tow the Comrade Trump line anymore. Some of the reporters are openly questioning his motives and tactics, as they should. Some of their reporters continue to unabashedly support Comrade Trump and some of his egregious lies. The articles by the most of reputable newspapers are basically fact-based, except for their opinion pieces, and that is why I have more subscription to newspapers than having any cable subscription. Mostly I believe that the most of TV programs are waste of time.
Fox became very careful because of the half billion lawsuit, and plus they still have pending lawsuits to be resolved, that is why some of them became careful, that is all. Since I don't like their newscasters, I don't even watch it at all.

So, a great amount of page fill comes from other sources that aren't reputable....... the Associated Press (AP) being a major one. The Southern Calif News Group has a roving band of writers that feed into the news sausage also.
LA Times may be the most egregious offender of mixing (confusing?) news and OpEd..... they're truly terrible and disreputable. They are also likely to go under or be sold. The billionaire owner just did another 100 person layoff, yet continues to lose tens of millions per year.
