Body Cameras for Congress
PRESCOTT, AZ – Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) issued the following statement after introducing a resolution to create a pilot program to require the leadership of the House of Representatives to wear body cameras and share the recorded footage with the public.
“Today, body-worn cameras already provide valuable evidence defending police officers from otherwise false and frivolous accusations. Occasionally, the police worn body cameras show a law enforcement error. There is further movement to put cameras in school classrooms. Too often what is really happening in our schools is hidden from parents.
This trend to bring transparency and honesty should also apply to Congress. For example, in January of 2021, several members of congress made false and defamatory allegations that other members of congress gave “reconnaissance tours” on January 5. Footage from body cameras would be able to rebut such defamation immediately.
In another instance, a member of congress described a harrowing tale of hiding and being chased, without any witness or documentation of any type in support. A body camera would demonstrate the confabulation of such a story.
The lack of transparency in Congress is driving public trust in government to near-historic lows. The best way to restore that trust is through total transparency and sharing with the American people what really happens in Washington, DC. Less secrecy from our leaders is a good place to start.
That’s why today I introduced a resolution to create a pilot program that would require the leadership of the House of Representatives to utilize body-worn cameras and ensure that the cameras are activated while carrying out official business. Footage from the cameras would be shared with the public.
If the American people were shown more information about what happens in Congress, public trust in our government might improve,” concluded Congressman Gosar.

“For too long Americans have been left in the dark about what is really going on in Congress. If cops can wear body cameras so can our politicians. It’s time for transparency and this bill by Rep. Gosar is a major first step,” added attorney and producer Mike Cernovich.
Sounds like a good idea to me.....

One call took place on Oct. 30, 2020 and the other on Jan. 8, 2021.
The first call was prompted by Milley’s review of intelligence suggesting the Chinese believed the United States was preparing to attack. That belief was based on tensions over military exercises in the South China Sea.
“General Li, I want to assure you that the American government is stable and everything is going to be okay,” Milley told him. “We are not going to attack or conduct any kinetic operations against you.”

Californians have received 5 Recall ballots…
Yes....Here we go again.
1. People are being told they already voted.
At El Camino Real Charter High School in Woodland Hills, some voters say they were told the computers showed them as already having voted, even though they had not.
West Hills resident Estelle Bender, 88, said she was far from the only person who was being told incorrectly that they had already voted.
In addition to friends of hers who experienced the issue and two other women outside the polling place, Bender said that inside, “the man next to me was arguing the same thing.”
Bender said she filled out a provisional ballot and “left really angry.”
Bender added that, to her knowledge, many of those affected by this issue are self-identified Republicans, and she’s suspicious.
“I’d still like to know how I voted,” Bender said.

"Shenanigans"? KABC-TV reports Riverside County, Calif., voters are worried after receiving multiple ballots, with some receiving five ballots.
"Is this a very small scale problem? Or is it maybe a little more substantial than we think at first glance?"

No studies were needed to justify this practice since most understood viruses were far too small to be stopped by the wearing of most masks, other than sophisticated ones designed for that task and which were too costly and complicated for the general public to properly wear and keep changing or cleaning. It was also understood that long mask wearing was unhealthy for wearers for common sense and basic science reasons.

Included in Alexander’s list are the lies related to mask mandates.

“Blow Up Republicans”: UNC (Wilmington) Professor Triggers Firestorm With Call For Killing Republicans
Dan Johnson is an associate professor at the School of Health and Applied Human Sciences at University of North Carolina Wilmington with apparently equal interest in politics and polytechnics. He posted a short but clear message on Facebook: “Blow Up Republicans.” The detonation of people seems to be in vogue with professors this year. As will come as little surprise to many on this blog, I do not believe Johnson should face discipline for his violent political ideations. [Update: A university Trustee has now asked for an investigation by the university].
Campus Reform reports objections to the handling of the controversy by the school, which only stated that “[t]he university was made aware of the post and has appropriately addressed it.” Johnson took down the posting.
Haylie Davis, a former student of Johnson’s, is quoted as objecting to the lack of more serious action and notes that the school would not be so circumspect “if the word ‘Republican’ was replaced with any other word. If the post stated ‘Blow up women,’ ‘Blow up homosexuals,’ ‘Blow up Catholics,’ etc.”

St. Louis couple who pointed guns at protesters plead guilty to misdemeanors
Mark and Patricia McCloskey, a St. Louis couple who gained notoriety after brandishing guns at Black Lives Matter protesters last summer, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges.
The couple, lawyers from Missouri, were each slammed with a felony charge for unlawful use of a weapon last July.
Neither will face jail-time, but will have to pay a collective fine of $2,750 and forfeit their guns to be destroyed.

The remarks were given on a Zoom teleconference session that was obtained by The Intercept.
The meeting was hosted by the group No Labels, a big money operation co-founded by former Sen. Joe Lieberman that funnels high-net-worth donor money to conservative Democrats and moderate Republicans.
The call included several billionaire investors and corporate executives, among them Louis Bacon, chief executive of Moore Capital Management; Kenneth D. Tuchman, founder of global outsourcing company TeleTech; and Howard Marks, the head of Oaktree Capital, one of the largest private equity firms in the country. The Zoom participant log included a dial-in from Tudor Investment Corporation, the hedge fund founded by billionaire Paul Tudor Jones.
The wide-ranging conversation went into depth on the fate of the filibuster, infrastructure negotiations, and the failed effort to create a bipartisan commission to explore the January 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol, and offers a frank glimpse into the thinking of the conservative Democrat who holds the party’s fate in his hands.
Manchin told the assembled donors that he needed help flipping a handful of Republicans from no to yes on the January 6 commission in order to strip the “far left” of their best argument against the filibuster.
The filibuster remaining in place is a critical priority for the donors on the call.
When it came to Sen. Roy Blunt, a moderate Missouri Republican who voted no on the commission, Manchin offered a creative solution. “Roy Blunt is a great, just a good friend of mine, a great guy,” Manchin said. “Roy is retiring. If some of you all who might be working with Roy in his next life could tell him, that’d be nice and it’d help our country. That would be very good to get him to change his vote. And we’re going to have another vote on this thing. That’ll give me one more shot at it.”

Regarding Blunt, Manchin appears to be suggesting — without, perhaps, quite explicitly saying so — that the wealthy executives on the call could dangle future financial opportunities in front of the outgoing senator while lobbying him to change his vote. Senate ethics rules forbid future job negotiations if they create a conflict of interest or present even the appearance of a conflict of interest. Manchin, notably, doesn’t suggest that the donors discuss a job, but rather says that people who Blunt may later be working with would be likely to have significant influence, reflective of the way future job prospects can shape the legislative process even when unspoken.
The January 6 commission got 56 votes, four short of the 60 needed to overcome a filibuster.
Manchin told the donors he hoped to make another run at it to prove that comity is not lost. He noted that Sen. Pat Toomey, a Pennsylvania Republican who missed the vote, would have voted for it had he been there, meaning only three more votes are needed. “What I’m asking for, I need to go back, I need to find three more Republican, good Republican senators that will vote for the commission. So at least we can tamp down where people say, ‘Well, Republicans won’t even do the simple lift, common sense of basically voting to do a commission that was truly bipartisan.’ It just really emboldens the far left saying, ‘I told you, how’s that bipartisan working for you now, Joe?’”
