Baggers It's a lost art form.
The last time you went to Ralphs or Safeway or Vons, etc. did the checker or "what was once called a bagger" take your groceries and simply toss them into your soft bag? Did your yogurt soft top get punctured? How about that bread? Was it at the bottom of your bag? What about that "double bag" you brought, I bet the high-school bagger put your 2 sticks of gum, small box of crackers and tube of toothpaste in that bag yet put the milk, bottled tea, etc. in your light weight bag that was about to rip.
There was once a day when "bagger" meant that guy who flipped the can from one hand to the other (that was in the bag) gently arranging your goods in bags that you could manage, kept your food in shape, at least for the ride home and even helped little old ladies to the car.
Now, it's punks like the high-school checker that doesn't give a shit, working at all the markets. Guess if you want it done right, better do it yourself.
