Brother can you spare a nickel? USPS raised their rate on a first class letter yesterday from .50 cent to .55 cent. Earlier this month I purchased $100. worth of forever stamps. So that's 200 stamps plus 50 I already had. That should last me past the next rate increase. Man am I behind the time.

Bread! Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits, Sizzler toasted cheese bread or Olive Garden bread sticks. I love them all. Any ideas where to find a more tasty bread than these? What's your favorite bread?

I was watching Pulp Fiction The beginning of the movie they are talking about European McDonalds and in Holland they put mayonnaise on French fries instead of ketchup. I decided to try it. They taste pretty good but I know they can't be good for you.

New tax proposal. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 Tuesday to place the measure on the Nov. 6 ballot. If two-thirds of voters in the Los Angeles County Flood Control District agree, property owners would be charged a new tax of 2.5 cents for every square foot of land shedding water. That includes roofs, patios, driveways and other hard surfaces.
The tax would add about $83 to the annual property tax bill for owners of a typical parcel of about 6,000 square feet. The actual tax would be calculated for every single parcel based on an aerial survey using equipment known as Lidar, which estimates the square footage of roofs, driveways, patios and other paved surfaces that create water runoff.
Businesses would pay the same 2.5 cents per square foot rate as residential parcels. About two-thirds of the land mass in Los Angeles County holds homes. All property owners, both residential and commercial/industrial, can reduce their tax by installing measures to catch storm runoff.

What are you going to do with all that money if you win? I was listening to the news today, they were interviewing people buying lotto tickets. He asked one lady what are you going to do with all that money if you win? In my opinion the most stupid answer anyone could give winning 700,000,000. She said "I would buy life insurance". But I could be wrong.

Gov. Jerry Brown orders audit of DMV over hours-long wait times Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday ordered a performance audit of the state Department of Motor Vehicles in response to the public outcry over hours-long wait times and repeated computer crashes that delayed serving customers.
State Finance Director Keely Martin Bosler, who was appointed by Brown, notified the agency that her office will conduct the financial review amid concerns about the DMV's performance.
The audit by Bosler's staff will look at issues including field office operations, the customer experience, computer problems and the DMV's governance structure. It will also examine an estimated 23,000 errors at DMV offices when people either were unknowingly registered to vote or had mistakes made in their registration status - problems that began during the rollout of the state's new "motor voter" program.
