Tangible items or experiences, which do you perfer?
Myself overall I perfer something I can touch and have to use for years to come like a big television or a nice stero system. I love spending money on my house, car, motorcycles & boat as opposed to taking a international vacation spending thousands. Last yeat I did visit New York City and Niagara Falls at a cost of $4000 for a week. I have no regrets since for years I always wanted to visit New York City and Niagara Falls. Utah
is on my list of places to visit. I will drive there. Overall I will spend more money on tangible items than experience.

I know HX is totally an experience so excluding HX.

How to Avoid Being Scammed By a Flood-Damaged Car.
Hurricane Harvey will put thousands of flooded cars through auctions. Here's how to know what to look for so you don't buy the wrong car. It is no surprise that these flooded cars will end up at salvage auctions in the region; many will be bought by rebuilders and sold on the used car market. These vehicles will be marked with a salvage or total-loss title, but there are many unscrupulous sellers that know how to hide the flood damage and even wash the titles so that they appear to be clear. There are some guides out there on spotting flood damaged cars, but many are out of date and easily circumvented by modern rebuilders. The first and easiest step to spotting a salvage car is to check the history based on the VIN # with a CarFax report. VehicleHistory.com will tell you if the vehicle has been through a salvage auction along with some additional registration and sales data.

     Goodbye Josh Newman
Recall Petition in our campaign against the gas tax officially qualified! This means that Senator Josh Newman, who has the deciding vote in approving the car and gas tax hikes, will face a special election for his immediate removal from office in either November or December. Once he is removed from office, the Democrats will lose their two-thirds Super-Majority control of California's legislature and no more tax hikes can be approved by them.

Major LAX Airline Terminal Shift Underway.
A relocation project at Los Angeles International Airport is bringing big changes to airline terminals. One-third of all airlines that fly out of LAX will be impacted by the terminal move, which has been planned for nearly a year. Much of the moving will begin around May 12. In light of the shift, LAX officials are urging passengers to arrive for their scheduled flights between May 12 and May 31 earlier than normal.

Have you ever been screwed over by an insurance company?
For me twice.

First time I was insured with Allstate. Guy hit my car parked on private property and he was 100% at fault His company paid for everything and they cancelled me.

Second time I had home owners insurance with Farmers. Guy broke in my garage and stole a bunch of tools. After the deductible, deprecation and adjustment to my bill for filing a claim, overall I would have paid out more than they paid me so I cancelled the claim.

My brother told me you haft to file for twice as much as your loss just to break even.

     Takata Airbag Recall
Vehicles made by 19 different automakers have been recalled to replace frontal airbags on the driver's side or passenger's side.

Does your vehicle have a Takata air bag?

I lucked out on this one, I don't have Takata air bags.

     Liability?
I saw a rollover the other day. People stopped and were trying to help people get out. I'm wondering could you be liable if you hurt them more by pulling them out of the wreck? Since I carry a fire extinguisher I hung around a couple of minutes incase there was a fire.
