Bringing in someone for Thanksgiving Leave it to my church group to make things challenging.
Short version: my big thanksgiving get together involves members of my church, a s they are bringing in someone who “doesn’t have family”. A big issue especially after covid and no big get togethers.
Anyhow, Catholics love the guilt trips if I don’t, so… is it a good idea to have someone over who wants to attend a big loud boisterous get together, for one night, make someone feel like family.

Naked tatas at Venice Beach Anyone in Venice right now?
Down by the Venice pier?
Lots of Europeans baring it and forgetting the nudity rules, and the locals are enjoying it.
Lovely ladies.
Not so crazy about the man thongs and dark socks on their significant others.

Today in stocks - General Electric splits into 3 companies General Electric intends to spin-off its healthcare and energy segments in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
“At GE we have always taken immense pride in our purpose of building a world that works. The world demands—and deserves—we bring our best to solve the biggest challenges in flight, healthcare, and energy," said GE CEO Lawrence Culp in a statement. "By creating three industry-leading, global public companies, each can benefit from greater focus, tailored capital allocation, and strategic flexibility to drive long-term growth and value for customers, investors, and employees."
Stock value in GE went up, especially after GE Aviation nabbed a big $1B contract from the Air Force last week. No crazy climbs, though.

Jon Bon Jovi tested positive for covid Earlier he was seen taking pics (without a mask) with a few fans before a concert.
Then he tested positive for the virus.
Guess where he was?
Yup.
Fucking Florida.
And he knows better, as a strong advocate for masks and distancing and safety.
But you go to Florida and “the stupid” seeps in…

Letterkenny Who is watching this?
Stumbled on it while seeing drunk videos of my old friend’s college age kids.
Some true moments of brilliance.

Going down the hole Not, this is not about penetration, or heavenly bodies, or sex of any kind, rather some interesting stellar observations about which direction our solar system is heading.
“New research suggests that the Earth, the sun, and the solar system could be traveling through a highly magnetized tunnel in space.
If correct, the theory could explain the appearance in the sky of two rope-like structures in the Milky Way whose origins are currently uncertain.
The North Polar Spur (NPS), described by NASA as "the most spectacular coherent structure in the soft X-ray sky," and the Fan Region are two of the brightest radio-emitting gas structures seen in the night sky.“
Fascinating stuff for those of us who look up at the stars and wonder sometimes.

Today in science: beauty of the deep Because we need to appreciate the mystery and beauty of the Earth, some amazing footage of a rare squid.
“ The Planctoteuthis captured in the rare footage (now resurfaced by the institute on occasion of its two-year anniversary) looks very little like you'd expect a squid to look.”

Tv/movies for Halloween Netflix’s Midnight Mass has been unnerving at times. It’s good.
